特殊情况规定 Special Considerations
The University supports coursework students whose ability to complete a specific assessment task has been impacted by unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. An Extenuating Circumstances Application (ECA) can be submitted where a student’s ability to undertake or complete an assessment has been affected by previously unknown and unavoidable incidents, conditions or circumstances that have a demonstrable and significant impact.
Accepted grounds include:
- Medical – significant illness or injury, or unexpected exacerbation of a registered condition
- Hardship – victim of crime, financial hardship, accidents, IT issues, caring responsibilities
- Compassionate – death or serious illness of a family member or close friend
- Elite – commitments as a registered elite athlete or performer
- Duties – military, emergency or volunteer services
- Disaster – natural disasters or geo-political events
- Religious or Cultural Commitments
Applications must be lodged within five (5) working days of the assessment due date or scheduled date of examination (or within five working days of a revised due date if an extension was already granted).
特殊情况现通过“特殊情况申请（Extenuating Circumstances Application, ECA）”办理。当学生完成某项评估的能力受到此前未知且不可避免、并具有明显且重大影响的事件、状况或情形干扰时，可提交 ECA 申请。可被接受的理由分为以下几类：医疗（重大疾病或伤病、已登记病症的意外恶化）、困境（成为犯罪受害者、经济困难、意外、IT 故障、照护责任）、同情（家人或密友去世或重病）、精英运动员/表演者事务、职责（军队、应急或志愿服务）、灾害（自然灾害或地缘政治事件）、宗教或文化事务。申请须在评估截止日或考试安排日起的 5 个工作日内提交（若已获延期，则为修订后截止日起 5 个工作日内）。
学术不诚信类型 Academic misconduct
根据学术诚信相关条例，学术不诚信指学生有下列任一行为：

学术不诚信惩罚 Academic penalty

申诉流程 Appeal
第一阶段：非正式申诉
学生需要在收到结果后的20个工作日内联系教授对有争议的作业或考试内容重新审批或采取其他行动。
第二阶段：正式申诉
如果对第一阶段的结果不满意可以在收到结果的20个工作日内提起正式上诉，学校将在20个工作日内给予答复。
第三阶段：程序上诉
指的是大学在申诉过程中的程序问题，学校会在20个工作日内告知结果。
