What are special consideration and arrangements?
We understand that life’s unexpected events and your personal responsibilities can sometimes make study challenging. We’re committed to helping you through difficult times.
Special consideration and special arrangements can help you if your studies are impacted by:
- exceptional circumstances
- essential commitments
- events outside your control.
If eligible, you may qualify for:
- a replacement test, exam or assessment
- an extension of time
- reweighting or averaging of your marks
- alternate assessment
- new or varied assessment
- a late discontinuation of a unit of study under special circumstances.
The outcome you receive will depend on a number of factors, such as your reasons for applying, the impact to your studies and fairness to other students.

学术不诚信类型 Academic misconduct

学术不诚信惩罚 Academic penalty
被认定学术不诚信成立的学生或前学生，可被处以下列一项或多项处罚：

申诉流程 Appeal
第一阶段：学生通常需在被告知学术决定后的 15 个工作日内，先与作出决定的相关人员讨论并尝试非正式解决；相关人员可能是导师、讲师、课程协调人或项目主任等。
第二阶段：如果非正式解决不适合或未成功，学生可提交 review 申请。多数学院审查申请需在收到非正式讨论结果后 20 个工作日内提交；若仅涉及 special consideration、special arrangements、credit 或 mobility，则向 Academic Panel 申请 review，也通常需在收到沟通结果后 20 个工作日内提交。学校通常会在 3 个工作日内确认收到，并应在收到申请后 15 个工作日内作出决定或说明延迟原因。
第三阶段：如果学生认为学院、Academic Panel 或相关 HDR examination committee 的决定未按规则要求作出，可在决定日起 15 个工作日内向 Student Appeals Body 提交在线 appeal。上诉只审查程序性理由，不重新审查学术决定本身的 merits。听证会通常至少提前 10 个工作日通知；Student Appeals Body 会尽快、且不迟于听证会后 20 个工作日，以书面形式通知结果和理由。
