特殊情况规定 extenuating circumstances

During your period of study any number of circumstances may affect your ability to perform well in assessments (this includes essays, class tests and final examinations). For exceptional and unforeseeable circumstances beyond your control that occur within the last 24 hours of the assessment submission period or deadline, you normally should use the Extenuating Circumstances process.

Extenuating circumstances are almost always retrospective. They refer to exceptional and unforeseeable circumstances beyond your control that have adversely affected your performance in assessments. They are submitted to your School by an advertised deadline. Depending upon the nature and severity of these circumstances your School may wish to take them into account when the Board of Examiners meet to decide what your progress decision should be.

学术不诚信类型包括：

4 Fabrication or misrepresentation 捏造或失实陈述：伪造数据、证据或实验结果。
5 Commissioning work, buying essays and software/ using generative AI 代写、代考或使用人工智能：提交并非自己完成的作品。
6 Unacceptable proof-reading 不当的校对：他人为你重写或改写部分内容以改善论点、修改文字或代码。
7 Exam irregularities 考试中的违规行为。

学术不诚信惩罚 Academic penalty

根据情节严重程度（Moderate / Serious），处罚可能包括：

1 the Assessment mark obtained to stand 维持已取得的评估分数（不作分数处罚）。
2 resubmission of/another attempt at the Assessment. The mark for this resubmission/attempt shall be capped at a mark deemed appropriate by the AIO and the cap shall be no lower than the pass mark 重交或重考该评估，重交/重考的分数会被设上限，但上限不低于及格分（计为同一次尝试）。
3 reduce the Assessment mark to an appropriate level, including an award of zero. If this leads to failure of the module… a further attempt shall be permitted, with the overall module mark awarded capped at the pass mark 将评估分数降至适当水平（包括给零分）；若因此导致课程挂科，可再考一次，但课程总分被限制在及格分。
4 reduce the Assessment mark to an appropriate level, including an award of zero, with no opportunity to resit 将评估分数降至适当水平（包括零分），且没有补考机会。
5 Where…a decision is made that Serious Plagiarism or a Serious Examination Irregularity has occurred…the case…will be referred to a College Misconduct and Fitness to Practise Committee 情节严重（严重抄袭/严重考试违规），或处罚导致挂科的案件，将移交学院不端行为与执业适格委员会（College Misconduct and Fitness to Practise Committee），按《学生行为规范》(University Regulations Section 8) 处理。
