特殊情况规定 Mitigating Circumstances

Mitigating circumstances are different, they describe situations that temporarily prevent you taking an assessment or significantly impact your performance in an assessment or examination. These are circumstances beyond your control and can include serious or incapacitating injury, bereavement affecting a close family member or severe weather affecting travel. You should report mitigating circumstances as soon as possible by submitting a MC Application form, along with supporting documentation to verify the mitigating circumstances, to the correct School MC Confidential Email Addresses within the required deadline MC Deadline Dates. 学术不诚信类型 Academic misconduct

学术不诚信类型包括:

3 Collusion. The representation of a piece of collaborative work as the work of a single candidate, or the representation of draft work that has been shared by another student as the candidate’s own work. 共谋
4 Commissioning. Submitting an assignment done by another person as the student’s own work. This includes paying someone to complete the work. 代写
5 Artificial Intelligence Systems. The unauthorised use of Artificial Intelligence systems, such as Wolfram Alpha and Sudowrite, to complete assessments. 未经允许使用AI
6 Copyright infringement. Uploading any of the University’s copyright material to 3rd party. Please see Appendix 3 for examples as to what this includes. 侵犯大学版权
7 Duplication. The inclusion in coursework of material identical or substantially similar to material that has already been submitted by the student for any other assessment within the University or at another academic institution. 重复提交已经得分得作品
8 False declaration. Making a false declaration (e.g. to a Mitigating Circumstances Committee) in order to obtain an unmerited advantage in one or more assessments. 提供虚假声明
9 Falsification of data. Presentation of data, based on work purported to have been carried out by the student, which have been invented, altered or embellished. 伪造数据
10 Not following due process. For example not following ethical committee procedures to gain approval for surveys or experiments. 未遵循正当程序(例如未按伦理委员会程序取得调查或实验审批)
11 Personation. Assuming the identity of another person in order to deceive or mislead (e.g. sitting an exam for someone else). 代考
12 Plagiarism. The unacknowledged use of another’s work as if it were one’s own. Examples are: the inclusion of more than a single phrase from another’s work without the use of quotation marks and acknowledgement of the source; summarising another’s work by changing a few words or altering the order of presentation without acknowledgement; copying another’s work; and the use of another’s ideas without acknowledgement. NB: if you wish to reference your own work, it is important to acknowledge yourself as the source and provide the appropriate reference. 剽窃

学术不诚信惩罚 Academic penalty

学术不诚信的惩罚包括但不限于:

申诉流程 Appeal

学生可以在收到通知后的四周内以书面形式向学校提起上诉,学校会要求召开听证会,听证会举办的时间会在发起召开听证会通知起不少于14天。听证会后学校会根据所有的情况进行总结,并告知学生最后的结果。
