1 Cheating: the attempt to gain an improper advantage in an academic evaluation. 作弊：试图在学术评估中获取不正当的优势。
2 Impersonation: to have someone impersonate one’s self in class, in a test or examination, or in connection with any other type of assignment in a course. Both the impersonator and the individual impersonated may be charged. 冒名顶替：让他人在课堂、测验或考试、或任何课程作业中冒充自己；冒充者与被冒充者均可被指控。
3 Plagiarism: the misappropriation of the work of another by representing another person’s ideas, writing or other intellectual property as one’s own. 剽窃：将他人的观点、文字或其他知识产权当作自己的据为己有。

申诉流程 Appeal

学生被指控违反学术诚信后，先由所在学院在单位层面召开一次“探讨性会议”（exploratory meeting），并至少提前 7 个日历日（seven calendar days）书面通知学生。若会议认定存在合理依据继续指控，案件将提交至学院层面的委员会举行正式听证会。学院须至少提前 21 个日历日（twenty-one calendar days）书面通知学生听证会的时间和地点；学生如欲对指控提交书面答辩，须在指控发出之日起 14 个日历日（fourteen calendar days）内提交。听证会后由委员会作出裁定并通知学生。学生若对学院委员会的裁定不服，可向参议院申诉委员会（Senate Appeals Committee）提出申诉。
